Something new is coming.
After eight contemporary romance novels, I'm making a deliberate turn — toward history, toward research, toward a story I've been carrying for twenty-five years.
"A Little Book of Prayers" is a novel about Jeanne d'Évreux, the last Capetian queen of France, and the tiny Book of Hours her husband commissioned for her in the 14th century. That book still exists. You can see it at the Met Cloisters in New York.
I wrote my art history graduate thesis on this manuscript. Now I'm writing the novel.
Same pen name. Very different world.
More to come. 🌿
Kate lives near Monterey Bay with her husband and their Labrador, Lucy, who runs the house. When she’s not writing, she’s walking the beach, baking carbs, or deep in a Grateful Dead playlist.
