Gina Buchanan is an author of contemporary romance novels. Mrs. Buchanan was born in Newport News, Virginia, to an American soldier and German mother. Being a military dependent throughout her childhood, she held residence in various locations throughout the United States and abroad, including New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, and Germany. She has been an avid writer since the tender age of 7, when she would spend countless hours creating picture books and writing short stories. In 1997, Ms. Buchanan won an honorary mention for her column in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's college newspaper. In the spring of 2001, Ms. Buchanan served as a member of the editorial board for the Central Texas College Journal of Art & Letters entitled "Byways." "The Road to L.A." is her first work of fiction in the romance genre. Mrs. Buchanan currently resides in Dallas, Texas, with her husband and beloved tuxedo cat Shady.
