Donna's parents are offered the trip of a lifetime to Europe and India. The only catch is that Donna and Jimmy cannot travel with them.

A number of options are examined but finally it is decided that a young teacher from Jimmy's school will stay at the Parker family home and look after Donna and Jimmy.

With fewer rules to worry about, Donna enjoys her new-found sense of independence. However, she learns that independence comes with some big responsibilities and new worries.
