This is the story of a daughter's care of her aged parents, a father diagnosed with dementia related to Parkinson's disease, and a mother diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. It is a story written from the perspective of the caregiver. It documents the learning process of the caregiver as she struggles to cope with the difficulties of caring for her parents and watching them change into people who are not the ones she remembers and who slowly drift away in mind and then body.
