Happy feast of St. Ignatius of Antioch! We’re marking the occasion with a reading of St. Ignatius’ Letter to the Romans, our very first Patristic work featured on this podcast.

The Letter to the Romans is perhaps the most well known of St. Ignatius’ letters. It’s certainly the most striking. In it, St. Ignatius implores the Church at Rome not to intervene in his impending execution.
