'Quarantined' is the first published novel of Sara Raztresen, written as a high school graduation project. It is currently not for sale, nor is it any longer representative of her overall writing style, but it remains an important milestone in her growth as an author and a sign as to where she's been and what she's learned since writing this book.

Two hundred years after an atomic war with Middle Eastern countries, America is in shambles and ruled by a new group of humans- The members of the Utopian society known as the Rem Samfundet. In their attempts to create the perfect human race, they destroy all those who's genes don't meet their requirements. When a simple Book Keeper, Ria Ellen, accidentally finds herself outside the white walls that protected her all her life, she's taken in by one of the demons she'd been raised to fear, an outsider named Shriek. Forced to rely on her for survival, an unlikely budding friendship begins between them, and Ria discovers that she's about to be a part of a revolution- against her own people.
