Lauren had spent her life chasing the stars with her father. Their weekend hobby of stargazing had defined part of her life, her major in college, Astronomy. Now with her father having passed, she looked to take on medical school. This was to be the last weekend of stargazing; she meant to make it special by going to her father's favorite spots and opening their journals, rediscovering those old days.

. . . And then an alien crash landed.

Zanthran looked to spend some quality fun on the baby blue planet before accepting his role as Prince of the cheshir, third in-line to the throne. He had every intention of landing discreetly and blending in with human society before the species who owns the Earth and its particular sector of space, the katros, were privy to it; unfortunately, they shot his spaceship down as he entered Earth's orbit.

As the katros rain fire upon Zanthran, he finds Lauren gawking at the scene and rescues her from certain death. They get picked up by Captain Nathan and his crew, friends of Zanthran who were in the sector "procuring" oil for a client.

Who are the real players vying for galactic domination? And can Zanthran and Lauren's developing love save them both from lives they never wanted to lead?
