Julie Greene didn’t always want to be a waitress, but growing up on the bad side of town didn’t offer many other opportunities. If she’d had half a chance, she would have pursued a career in writing songs. She could only remember a short snippet of a song that set her heart ablaze when she’d first heard it as a child. Trying to recall the words had ignited the interest within her. If her boyfriend had been more supportive and less abusive, she might have had the courage to chase her dream.
Craig Roberts has just won a national competition and is now the newest Contemporary Christian singing heartthrob. He’d been looking for something to motivate him to write the songs for his debut CD. The deadline was getting close and the record company was getting anxious. When he happens to stop into a diner for a late night burger, he meets Julie and is instantly infatuated with her. Soon, the songs begin to pour out of him faster than he can write them down. Now, all he needs to do is win her heart. With her by his side he’s sure he will never lack inspiration, but there’s a problem. How is he going to get her away from a man who only wants to hold her down?
