This is a short story (less than 10,000 words) featuring the characters from The Holly Novels that takes place between Criss Cross (book 1) and Cross Fire (book 2). There is a preview of Cross Fire at the end of this short story. A winter memorial, held to recognize fallen officers, becomes slightly more than they bargained for when hard feelings and unresolved issues rise up.
