"Thomas in The New World" is a series of five stories about a boy, named Thomas, who just moved from a big busy city to a quiet tiny village.

He soon discovers things which make him feel scared, uneasy, uncomfortable, and even confused. He forges a friendship with his neighbour, Theo, and learns to adapt to his new world.

1) Thomas and the Mystery Sounds
Thomas hears mystery sounds while playing outside of his new house. With his mom, they try to find out where the sounds are coming from.

2)The Best Ice Cream in the World
It’s hot and Thomas wants to have some ice cream. There’s none at home so he goes to Theo’s house. There, he learns how to make “the best ice cream in the world.”

3)The Fishing Challenge
Thomas thinks that he is the best fisher ever, but Theo doesn’t believe him. They agree to do a fishing challenge to prove who’s the best fisher.

4)The Carrot Teeth
Theo teaches Thomas how to harvest carrots. He eats many of them. The next day, he has gum ache. He blames Theo, until he finds out the truth.

5)It All Gets Too Much
While shopping, Thomas is surprised that people know about his tooth problem. At the party, more people talk about him. It’s all too much for him so he runs away.
