Can a dead man play bridge?

The SeeMs Detective Agency are all invited to play on-line bridge with an unknown even though two of them play very badly. Through the evening they are given clues about the man. Miranda thinks she knows who it is, a local man called Brian Deliverer. A phone call to his house proves her right.
However, next morning they discover Brian Deliverer died half-way through the game. Can a dead man play bridge or was it someone else? Was it suicide or murder?

The detectives are employed by Brian's daughter Karen to investigate his death.
What they discover leads them back to an accidental death on a sailing boat and the disappearance of a teenage boy in the 1960s. Further investigation shows that things are indeed not as they seem, and that there is much more to the disappearance and death than they originally believed.

Should they tell his daughter the terrible truth behind her father’s death even if it costs her and her family everything?
