Davida Maxwell has one night to make sure her entire year goes right. As the new owner of the New Hope Animal Shelter, all she needs is one blockbuster gala, complete with donors with deep pockets, to turn a dilapidated building into a dream come true.

New Year’s Eve could set her up for a bright future.

When the gala’s biggest donation goes missing, Davida knows that she will be viewed as incompetent at best, or a thief at worst.
