Mark is a cultural worker, storyteller, playwright, and an actor-teacher. He finished Bachelor of Arts Major in Communication Arts at the University of the East-Caloocan. He is currently studying Master of Arts (Filipino): Malikhaing Pagsulat (Creative Writing) at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and at the same time teaches at the Manila Tytana Colleges. He is the current Artistic Director of the University of the East Drama Company.

He was a writing fellow of the Virgin Labfest 10 Writing Fellowship Program (2014) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the 8th Palihang Rogelio Sikat (2015) of the UP-DFPP (Departamento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas), and the UST National Writers’ Workshop (2017). He is a member of Kuwentista ng mga Tsikiting (KUTING), The Writers’ Bloc, Inc., KATAGA (Manila): Samahan ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas, and Ang Pinoy Storytellers.
