Born and raised in the heartland, for the last twenty-five years Rhay has divided her time between the States and the small Mediterranean island of Cyprus. With a degree in education and a MFA in writing from Vermont College, she is a teacher by trade and a writer by heart. When not writing or teaching writing or thinking about writing, you can find her with a good book and a strong cup of coffee on one of her back porches. Or out on long meandering walks where she imagines the stories locked behind the windows. She shares her life with her wonderful four boys; husband Chris, sons Alex and Mark and her older-than-Methuselah pup, Cappuccino​.
