Firuz Kazemzadeh, Ph.D., was a Russian-born American historian.
He earned a MA from Stanford University in 1946 and a Ph.D from Harvard University.
He taught at Harvard in 1954-1956 and then became professor of history at Yale University, where he retired as professor emeritus in 1992.
From May 15, 1998 to May 14, 2003, he served as a Commissioner on the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom.
