Michael Morris is Senior Lecturer at the University of Dundee and was previously a Lecturer in English Literature at Liverpool John Moores University. Author of Scotland and the Caribbean, c. 1740 - 1833: Atlantic Archipelagos (2015). His contributions have appeared in Recovering Scotland's Slavery Past (2016) and in Britain's History and Memory of Transatlantic Slavery: Local Nuances of a National Sin (2016).
Morris was Co-Investigator of the ‘Transnational Scotland’ network (2019–20). He is a founding member of the Black Atlantic Research Dundee network, and decolonising committees at V&A Dundee and the Museums of the University of St. Andrews.
