Joanne Speirs didn’t set out to become a romance author—life just had other ideas. A farm-raised girl from South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula who grew up wrangling sheep with her dad and quietly raiding her mum’s Mills & Boon shelf, and the school library for Sweet Valley High books, she found her way to writing when she needed it most. Now she’s an award-winning Australian romance author whose Hearts of Point Perry series is for anyone who’s ever needed a story about second chances, healing and love that finds you when you least expect it. When she’s not writing, she helps other romance authors find their voice through her editing business, Nurturing Words.

Her debut, Second Chance Love in Point Perry, was runner-up in the prestigious Romance Writers of Australia Valerie Parv Award in 2019 and was longlisted for the Romance Writers of Australia Emerald Award in 2020.
