Jim and his wife live in Georgia. He's also joined by two cats and a parrot, all of whom believe time spent writing would be much better used by him scratching their heads.

In addition to writing, Jim is a clinical psychologist, enjoys live theater, and builds impossibly high To Be Read piles of books which, when feeling neglected, his cats enjoy knocking down.
