Kathy Arnos has been a pioneer in sustainable living and holistic health since 1988. She is the founder of Whole Planet Productions, a health-conscious lifestyle hub — mind, body, and spirit — whose mission is to inspire, educate, uplift, and empower people to live their best lives fully awake, aware, and responsibly with a sense of connection to each other and the earth.
Arnos began her professional writing career in 1988, by creating an in-print newsletter, Mother to Mother: Another View, which transitioned to an online newsletter as Eco Family News in 2006, with a companion Internet radio show she produced and hosted on I Am Healthy Radio.
She has served on numerous advisory boards as an expert, and authored two holistic parenting books, Bach Flowers for Children: Raising Emotionally Healthy Children without Drugs (1991) and The Complete Teething Guide — From Birth to Adolescence (2004). In the early 1990s, she produced and hosted a 30-minute television show for public television, Raising Healthy Children Without Drugs. The Los Angeles Times dubbed Arnos "Medicine Mom," and L.A. Weekly called her the "Good Mother."
In 2005, Arnos created and produced a first-of-its-kind event for all ages, the Whole Children, Whole Planet Expo, which premiered on Earth Day at the Los Angeles Convention Center and ran bi-annually from 2006-2010.
She has been featured in magazines and newspapers, appeared on national television and radio shows, and has been a contributing editor to various publications both in print and online for over 35 years.
In Arnos’ latest book, Walking A Friend Home: A Practical Guide to Consciously Living & Dying, she addresses a deficiency in our society of the intimacy of relationships and offers readers tools, guidance, and resources to navigate the complex phase of midlife and beyond.
Walking A Friend Home represents Arnos’ journey of the entire cycle of life — both in nature and our human experience, fostering love, balance, and respect throughout, eventually returning all elements to the earth. It reflects the importance of consciously living through all phases — including death. She weaves her knowledge, intuitive gifts, and connection to the spirit world together—facilitating gentle transitions full of grace, dignity, and a feeling of being loved with a sense of completeness for everyone.
