Yeyu spent most of her childhood overseas and returned to her homeland when she was 16, and like all her local brethren, she suffered through the notorious East Asian college entrance exams. The hellish test was what prompted her to give up drawing manga and turn to writing stories instead... but in English, even though it's technically her second language. After all, her Chinese writing capabilities remain as amateur as that of 7th graders (an optimistic estimation, but at least her handwriting improved.)

Since Yeyu mostly reads Chinese BL, she has this grand vision of spreading her culture to those who cannot read Chinese... though what she writes is by no means a good representation of the massive community, considering her rather niche tastes. Being a picky reader was what made Yeyu create stories in the first place, but she enjoys gaming and reading a bit more. Hence the procrastinations (shhh)
