She left the writing life behind, however, to be the publisher and editor of Prospect Park Books in Los Angeles. Prospect Park publishes best-selling, award-winning fiction, mysteries, cookbooks, gift/humor books, and regional titles and is now owned by Turner Publishing in Nashville, Tennessee.
