Professor Hans T. Bakker (born 1948) is an Indologist and director of the Institute of Indian Studies at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, where he holds the Jan Gonda Chair and teaches History of Hinduism in the Sanskrit Tradition and Indian Philosophy.
